I went to the Shania Twain concert with mum when I was in my holiday in Australia. She came down the aisle and I gave her a high five!

Holiday

I’m away on holiday visiting mum. I missed the drama play that I had been practising for but my friends did a great job.

We had a visit from Judy from Chirp Op Shop who came and gave us some chocolates for all our help this year.

Pamper Day

Today we turned our centre into a day spa. I had a lovely foot massage and my hair styled and coloured. I was also in charge of our booking timetable for all salon appointments.

Hangi & Disco Day

Today we had a disco at our centre while our lunch was cooking. In our Hangi we had Chicken, Pork, pumpkin, potatoes, cabbage and fried bread followed by steam pudding and custard. I enjoyed singing on the microphone & dancing with my friends.

Learning the guitar

We had a great time on Thursday morning learning to play the guitar. I taught my friends what I already knew. 

Irish dancing

I am pretty good at Irish dancing so I taught my friends a few moves in music this week.

Te Puna Quarry

I enjoy looking at the view Te Puna Quarry and then got a little motivation at the top of the hill 

Scratchies

I tried out some Scratchies and won $8. I'm hoping to win some more money. Im going to put the money towards going to the Citz club with Nana! 

Rock n roll dancing

I taught my friends how to do Rock and Roll moves I taught Michael first

We all sat down at the table learning some stuff and then we made scone it was interesting day and we went for and a nice walk. 

Circus in a flash

I learned some new circus tricks. I did some juggling, balancing, hula hooping and spinning a plate on a stick.

Socialising

What a fab time we had when an old friend came to visit. We made pikelets and prepared a special lunch table to sit at and talk.

Daycare Visit

We visited a local daycare today. We sang the Maori colours song and taught the kids the signs for the colours. The kids were loud and snotty and cute.

Happy

In music this week I sang the song Happy and dedicated it to Dillon - our friend who passed away. He was always happy!

Learning is fun!

We went out investigating an awesome Estuary in Learning through Discovery, it was really interesting learning about storm water.

Balloon volleyball

There was no op-shop this week so I joined the sports group and played balloon volleyball.

Bowling and Hopscotch

I joined the sports group and played hopscotch and indoor bowling. I was pretty good at both! Ha ha!

Avocado orchard visit

We got to go out and have a walk around an avocado orchard. The trees were a lot bigger than at the kiwi fruit orchard. 

On our way back to the centre we checked out Tye park reserve.
